We will always remember this day, 9/11, and those who died because of the evil that overcomes when there is hatred and fear of one's fellowmen.
We left our very nice Double Tree Inn at Bay City, Michigan at around 1pm, after getting the car into the local Nissan dealership for routine maintenance and an oil change. We continued on the road less traveled. This time up route 25, continuing our exploration of Lake Huron, along the Michigan coastline.
We stopped in a beautiful little beach front town of Lexington, Michigan and donned swim wear for some photo shots on the public beach! Check it out!
We also had a very nice visit with the town mayor at his lovely home, which we had stopped to photograph. He recommended we stay at the Thomas Edison hotel in Port Huron, next to the impressive bridge that connects the USA with Ontario, Canada, but they had no vacancy.
We were encouraged to try our chances at another Inn that sits on the St. Clair river, some few miles further south. And so we did, finding accomodations in the historic St. Clair Inn with a room facing the river and with a large terrace where we could sit and watch the commercial river traffic like this big iron ore cargo ship that was passing by. Wow, what a sight!

Just today I was telling my mom that I've NEVER seen her in a bathing suit, and here Linda is, strutting her stuff on the beaches of Michigan! Lookin' good! We're so glad to hear that all is well. We love you!
